Crafter's Cafe #163

Hello
I hope you are well
Welcome and Thank You to all my new followers!
It is lovely to have you here!

Who is excited for CHRISTMAS??
ITS NEARLY HERE...

I am working with an image today from

The image that I am using today is

I have coloured my image with pro-markers!
what else... It is all I seem to use at the minute! So much so that loads are running out!

It was our challenge theme to use ribbon! So I decided to do something a little different
I have tied a bow with two different colours of grosgrain ribbon and also included a length of twine

I have added this to the corner of the card and I think this looks really effective!

The DSP that I have used is all Stampin Up!
and it is from many years ago! I think it is called Merry Moments...

I am one of those people that will buy something and not use it for years as you don't want to spoil it!

How many of us do that??

Anyway
Thank You for taking the time to visit and I hope to see you in our challenge!

HAPPY CRAFTING!
hugs

NJC Challenge Winter #39

Good Morning!
How are we all today??

I am having a rubbish few days - but crafting is helping!
So this week I have been using one of the fabulous images from

I feel so lucky that they are sponsoring our challenge this month as their images are amazing, but also they have stepped in last minute to sponsor the challenge as we were let down with images..

So a massive thanks to the Day for Daisies team
It is much appreciated!

The image that I chose to work with is

A beautiful image that I have loved working with...

Just perfect for our DT theme of winter!
I have coloured the image with Pro Markers
and added glitter to the tree as tinsel!

This close upof the image shows the sparkle - probably a bittoo much added
but it is Christmas
after all!

The papers are from a set that I have had about 3 years
and the are one of those sets that you think are too nice to use!
Well I decided that it was time they were opened!

The sentiment that I have used is
Stampin Up!

As I was on a roll I have also created a tag to go with the card
These I will be sending to my Auntie that lives in Australia
I always send her a package at Christmas and she always loves what I create!

I have added glitter to the baubles on the tree on this image - as the glitter overload I felt was too much on the card!

I love the layers that you can create on a tag! and something so simple looks really effective!

I have added the same sentiment and also pearls to the tag!

I hope you like what I have created and thank you for taking the time to visit!
It is much appreciated!
Have a lovely day

I cannot wait to see what you create for the challenge this month

I look forward to the coming months for the challenges that we have!

The challenge this time was to do a Christmas Birthday or use Christmas Colours... I chose Christmas colours - I feel that this was perfect for the image that I have chosen

The image I am working with
SNOWY CABIN
is from

I just love it! and perfect for this challenge!

I have coloured my image with pro-markers
and have tried get the colours through the trees to match the shading in the DSP that I have used

I have added glitter through the image for added sparkle and I think that this looks great as snow!

The words are Tim Holtz - my go to accessory at the minute, I love the effect these create! The string is not craft string -just an ordinary ball of string - been meaning to try this for weeks!

I have inked the edges of the card blank that is olive green
and the matt panel is chocolate brown
The DSP is also olive green, having the same shades in it

I hope you like my first project for

A Friends birthday quick card...

Hello!

So here is a card that I created for my friends birthday...
I have used one of the stamped images I was sent again! Which I love...

They look so effective

I have coloured the image with my pro markers and kept to pastel colours... I have used a Stampin Up! sentiment

Here is the image close up!

The matt layer card and DSP is also Stampin Up! and it co-ordiantes well with my Pros

As this was a rushed card I have kept it very simple!

I hope you liked it and thanks for stopping by!
Thank you to my followers I know I am rubbish! and will post more...

Teacher Gifts! The end of a great year...

Hello! Sorry for the lack of posts
I know I say this often I need to make more time for crafting!
I cannot believe that I have never posted these!
How rubbish am I!

I made these as the teacher gifts for my boys to give to their teachers and their teaching assistants!

This is the gift that I made for my youngest sons teacher
I covered this journal because she was going to work in China for a year and I thought this would be perfect for her to take with her and it wouldn't take up too much room!

This is the notebook that I covered for my other sons teacher
I love the image I was sent the stamped images a couple of years ago in a swap and they are great
I have coloured the images with pro-markers and shaded areas of the skirt
Keeping the decoration simple
With some lace and pearls
The word sentiments are time holtz - and the main sentiment is Stampin Up!

I love the fact they have no faces - so simple
I have used darker colours in this gift and I love the effect

I hope you like them and thank you for looking

njc challenge October #37

Hello

So Apologies for this late post
I have not realised that it had not posted!
Here is my make for the NJC Challenge Blog

We had no sponsor this month so we had free reign on what we could create
So here is what I made

using a visible image stamp!
The all seeing eye

I love this

I have used Halloween colours with it being October
To keep it seasonal - orange and black

As you can see on the image I have spritzed it with glitter
I lovethis effect
I used the one from Crafters Companion
So simple to use!

The tiny words are Tim Holtz

I love using these at the minute and I think they are perfect for any creation!

I hope you like my card and I look forward to seeing your makes

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

Nice to have you here...

Today I am sharing with you the tag I have created for the challenge over on

As normal we are back to anything goes!

So for this months challenge I created a tag using the image from Bloobel

I have coloured the image using pro-markers
(what else! lol )

and used pastel shades

I have teamed this with with black and cream
So that it really stands out

I have used matt layers of plain card - so not to take away fom the subtle colours used in the image

I finished the tag with a gorguss girl bow!
I love these accessories

I hope you like my tag
And thank you for taking the time to visit and your lovely comments!

Scrapbooking

Hello!

Well after a lovely week in the sun in Majorca with family I had all good intentions to set to work on my blog... However as always life gets in the way

So apologies!

I am sharing with you a scrapbook page that I have created after my eldest sons first ever kick boxing competition!

I have used an old Stampin Up! DSP for the base layer and if I am honest I don't even know what set it is from!
I have had it years

I have used the colour combination black and yellow as that is the colour of Josh's boxing gloves and t-shirt

I punched the stars from card stock and the words are from a family scrapping kit I have had about 3 years

The details journalled of the day and made into banners
I will try to do more scrapbooking!
LOL but I never seem to get around to it!
Making more time to craft is definitely on the cards

Thank you for stopping by

ATC pocket letter swap...

Hello!

Today I am sharing with you the ATC's that I have created for the group I am in on facebook

I only recently got added to the group by my friend Suze and I have to say I just love the idea...
We have to make 9 ATC's that all follow a theme
This month July we have to make

BUTTERFLIES and NATURE

There are 8 other people in the group and they each create an ATC following the same thing
Once you have received all the ATC's you display them together
I have a pocket folder ready for them to go in
I great way to see many different styles of crafting

So for my ATC I stamped a background stamp on a plain ATC card
I then inked the edges
I stamped the word BUTTERFLY in the bottom left hand side
I sprayed the card with glitter for a bit of shimmer
(I love this effect)
I added ribbon to the right hand side
I stamped some butterflies and then cut them out
The punched that I used is from Stampin' Up!
I finally added some gems to the ATC

This shows the background stamp and inked edges

I don't have an ATC stamp
So I created this on publisher and printed it out

For the people that have swapped with me I have added a little thank you
Stamping a card
Inking the edges and I have given them
some ribbon
a clip
and some punches
that all co-ordinate

I hope you like what I have created and thank you for looking
I have loved creating these
and look forward to the next swap!
I have linked the group at the top of the page

Thank you for looking
