Football Mad...

My best friends husband had his birthday a couple of weeks ago and here is the card I made for him - something I have been dying to have a play with my grey promarkers I have used my magnolia stamp and started colouring the image using the lightest colour of pen and graduated the the colour through the image. I think the effect is really subtly and it took only a few minutes to do.
I have used DSP from the sweet pea set and have used a very old hero arts stamp for the greeting. I mounted the panel on the sweet pea paper and then again on whisper white. I have added a panel of DSP to the left hand side of the card blank. I added dazzling diamonds to the football to add a bit of bling!
I hope you like the card and thanks for looking - Debbi x x x

Father's Day...

Todays's card is made using a set that I have rarely used Fox and Friends and have decided that I need to get it out more - also to stop me using the same sets as I always do! I have used the new soft suede ink and card and stamped the animals on whisper white. I decided to use the 1' punch to punch the animals out and mat these using the 1 3/8' punch with dimensionals.
I used 4 animals across the edge of the card and used tombow to attach these. I attached the animals to a panel of whisper white, I inked the edges of the card and attached this to the card blank. The punched animals are slightly bigger than the punch used and i have added them to the card at slight angles.
I hope you like the card and thanks for looking - Debbi x x x

GET WELL SOON... Stamp With Us Challenge!

I have made a promise to myself that I am going to make some time each Saturday morning to complete a challenge or at least a dedicated hour to make a card! So this week I decided that I would do the Stamp With Us challenge that I always love doing and I haven't done for ages! I have used the new Stampin Up! colours rich razzleberry and soft suede coupled with summer sun. I have used the stamp set pocket silhouettes and a clear brad to attached a tab of rinbbon.
I have stamped random images of the pocket silhouettes across the base of the card firstly in soft suede stamped off and then in the gaps used summer sun. Across the whole of the bottom of the card I have stamped rich razzleberry. I have then inked the edges of the card and nounted this on soft suede and then again on rich razzleberry inking the edges of the stamped panel. I have attached the tab of ribbon to the left hand side of the card using one of the clear rhinestone brads from stampin' up I love these and use them far more than other ones!
I have then attached the panel off set on the card to the left hand side and stamped the get well soon verse from curvey verses in the bottom right hand side. I have loved using this stamp set in the last couple of weeks - but it has to go away now! I chose to use this set for the get well card bacause even though the flowers are simple used with seperate coours I think that they are really cheery!
My next challenge is stamping candles - eekkkk!
I hope you like the card and thanks for looking your comments are appreciated - Debbi x x x

National Stampin' Up! Demo Support Day...

Many of you know that I am an SU! Demonstrator and on ILWS a couple of weeks ago we decided that we were going to send thank you cards to Demo Support - Chris and Eileen. The idea being that we all posted them to be in the post on the 9th June so that they would hopefully all arrive on the same day! Going off the thread we had going it is estimated they they would have received about 50 cards each. Chris and Eileen are the people that we contact if we have any queries in relation to our Stampin' Up! business whether that be the people, products or orders that we are making. They will always find the answer that you need and respond quickly to emails and phone calls. So I sent them cards to say a massive thank you for the support that they have given me since I signed up as a demonstrator and all the help that they gave when I signed my first downline earlier this year.
These are the cards that I made Chris's is made in Rich Razzleberry and for the lovely Eileen I used Melon Mambo - I used the thank you verse from curvey verses and I have stamped in the same colour as the card that I used I hope you like them! Have a lovely weekend and will post Father's Day cards tomorrow!... Thanks for looking your comments are appreciated Debbi x x x

shabby vintage...

Hello! Today's weather has been beautiful and I am hoping that it stays this way for the summer as I will have finished work and be out in the garden with my boys - I cannot wait! I love my job, but this is the best thing for my boys and i think I will take being a housewife and full time mummy like a duck to water! My house will be clean thats for sure!
Todays card is the card that I have made for my sister in law whose birthday it is today! I have used black and white and the stamp set Vintage Vogue... I love this set and there are so many combinations that you can use to create a beautiful card it is so versatile. For this card I have used a basic black card black and stamped on a piece of confetti white card, I inked the edges using the ink pad and used the vine stamp down the left hand side of the panel. I have added the sentiment to the top left hand side and stamped three flowers and decoupaged these to the right using dimensionals. A very simple design but I think that this looks very elegant and I love the black and white!
Thanks for looking and I hope you like the card - please comment as your comments are always appreciated  - Debbi x x x

colour family swap...

Tonight I am sharing with you the cards that I made for a recent swap over on ILWS this was a colour family swap and I used the BRIGHTS - this is my favourite colour family as they are all really happy colours! I have used the three greens and the Lovely as a tree stamp set. I have inked the panel to use on the card, let this dry and then stamped the image in the middle of the panel. I have chosen the darkest of the greens for this - Glorious green. The card blank is one of the paler greens Gable green. The panel across the left hand side of the card is glorious green I have left this blank - as the swap was to show the colour family I have kept my card very simple and I have just done something that I think emphasises the colours and how they co-ordinate. I hope you like the card and thanks for looking - Debbi x x x

Babywipe.... some more

The second card that I made using the babywipe I decided to do in rich razzleberry, my best friend has just decorated her bedroom this colour and I have made her a card to match - so I thought it would compliment well! I have used the babywipe for the background of the panel with both rich razzleberry and close to cocoa - I dabbed the babywipe in the ink and then gently tapped this on my grid paper to take some of the excess of as I wanted just a touch of colour. I have then mounted the panel on soft suede and decorated with a ribbon and a clear brad to add a bit of bling. I then mounted this onto rich razzleberry card and I have attached to  a white card blank and stamped the sentiment in rich razzleberry to the bottom left hand side of the card.

STAMP SET - curvey verses, pocket silhouettes
INK - close to cocoa, rich razzleberry
CARD - vanilla white, soft suede, rich razzleberry

Pocket Silhouettes...

For the recent blog hop you saw that I made a card holder and a set of cards - the tutorial that Jo (mainly flowers) came up with used the stamp set pocket silhouettes a set that I love and I was very tempted to use it on Sunday but I decided on the I heart (heart) set.
However got the set out anyway... I have been having a play around over the last few weeks with the babywipe technique there are two reasons for this 1) the effect that you get and how the build up of colour is very subtle and 2) I cannot use my brayer without the card looking like a deckchair - managed it once with the supervision of Helen but practice is needed and I will definately have another go at this in the next couple of weeks.
Over the next week I will be showing you a set of cards that I created Sunday night and they were very quick to complete - firstly I cut card to make the panels and then I babywiped the card to the desired colour. I then left them to dry. This was followed by stamping the panel with pocket silhouettes and adding the sentiments. I have used the colours soft suede, summer sun and melon mambo. I mounted the panel on soft suede and then again on melon mambo, I mounted this panel onto a card blank off centre and added a piece of melon mambo ribbon to the right hand side.
The sentiment is from curvy verses and one of the stamp sets that I earned with the sale-a-bration promotion earlier on in the year! Thanks for looking and your comments are appreciated Debbi x x x

Are you sitting comfortably??...

Welcome to the ILWS Blog Hop for the new products that Stampin' Up! have released, on your journey today you will be seeing projects that are created with the three new colours that have just been released - Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Soft Suede. So you will see the card, the inks, the DSP, the ribbon and the velum. I am sure that you will enjoy your journey around the very talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators blogs that have taken part and also hopefully have lots of inspiration to make some projects of your own - In todays hop there are three loops and here is where you will start loop one! Loop two will start with Papercraft Clare and Loop three will start with Stamping Caz - in total we have 46 people taking part so I hope you have some time to spare on this lovely Sunday morning... On with the journey!
So if you are returning to my blog from Carole's welcome back! and if you are beginning your journey - Enjoy...

The first project that I am sharing this morning is a set of three cards that I have made using the Its a Beautiful Life stamp set and of course the colours Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Soft Suede - I have used both ink and card in these colours and with the three cards swapped over the combination I have used to put the card together! I have stamped the back of the card with the same colour ink as the card. On the panel in the middle of the card I have again stamped in the same colour of the card but stamped this off so that the colour does not have as much depth. The elements to the card are in the thirs colour. I have stamped the flower from the same set and cust this out placed a brad through the middle and attached this to the card with a dimensional. I have stuck the ribbon with snail and added this to two sides of the panel and the sentiment is from the same set and I have inked the edges of this.
INK - rich razzleberry, melon mambo, soft suede
CARD - rich razzleberry, melon mambo, soft suede
RIBBON - rich razzleberry, melon mambo, soft suede
STAMP SET - Its a Beautiful Thing

The second project I have done today is casing a tutorial that Jo has done (her blog is mainly flowers) - great tutorial and easy to follow - a card holder and a set of cards! I have made the holder using soft suede and made the fastener using a length of ribbon that simply slips over the top of the box to hold it secure. The panel for the front of the box has three hearts stamped on very vanilla, this is matted onto soft suede then, rich razzleberry and melon mambo. This is then attached with dimensionals and syuck to the box with snail. I made 4 cards to go in the box and have made these using rich razzleberry and melon mambo. I have stamped the panel that is very vanilla using the speckle stamp from bird on a branch, stamped off with the same colour of the card. I have then stamped three hearts and cut them out, two are stuck with snail and the middle one is attached with dimensionals. I have chosen this simple design to try and not take away from the depth of the colour using the heart stamped on very vanilla card.

INK - rich razzleberry, melon mambo, soft suede
CARD - rich razzleberry, melon mambo, soft suede
RIBBON - rich razzleberry, melon mambo, soft suede
STAMP SET - i (heart) heart, bird on a branch

I hope you like my projects and your comments as always are much appreciated you will now hop along to the very talented Monica's blog again enjoy! and see you again soon x x x Debbi

We had to create a project or a set of cards using these and a stamp set or two and we will be posting them tomorrow morning at 10.00am - so check back then and there will be lots of great projects for you to look through. Grab a brew and an hour and have a good look around the blogs!

Some crafting...

Ok! So again life has got the better of me and I have let my blog slip... What has got in the way this time I hear you ask making the massive decision to leave work and getting my resignation in (eeekkk!) We are decorating the hall stairs and landing or rather hubby is I am assisting in the sense I have picked the wallpaper, we are decorating the bathroom and have just picked the tiles, our garden is at the beginning stages for being done and I am doing craft fairs in the coming weeks with Deborah O'D as well - busy, busy, busy.
So the cards that I have made today are using the babywipe technique a technique that I demonstrated at a recent workshop and have been asked to share some more examples from a couple of customers - I have used the new colours that were released last month as I have not had a proper play with them, although I wanted to do something different so have made Christmas Cards! using the stamp set Silent Night in bright colours...
I have used very vanilla card for the image on the cards and the new in colours rich razzleberry, melon mambo, soft suede. I have used the co-ordinating ribbon to decorate the cards.
I hope you like the cards and thanks for looking - Debbi
