ANOTHER MINI PREVIEW...

Ok, so tomorrow you are able to get your hands on the lovely products that are available in the new mini catalogue and I LOVE the shimmer paint that is available - so a quick post for you here just to show you how good this is, unpacked today and two cards made in 5 mins!. So I have cut 2 card blanks 3x3 and stamped circle circus onto them in shimmer paint. All I have done is used a dauber to cover the stamp by gentle tapping them and them stamped - easy. I think that you will agree that the effect is AMAZING. and it dries so quickly. I have also inked the edges of the cards to finish them off!
I hope you like them and thanks for looking - Debbi x x x

Recovering from Hop...

Hello! So how did you enjoy the blog hop over the weekend that I took part on with some other demonstrators?? There were some great projects weren't there?? I managed to get around everybody I think and spent a lovely morning commenting on all the great projects - but will definately be casing some of the projects that I saw in the hop!!
So I have this evening made a box for one of the guys that I work with - he has been married years and when he found out I was a crafter asked me to make her a little gift! He chose the colours and what he wanted making and I just chose the stamp set.
I made a 3x3 box and four cards to go inside it - I have used the colours chocolate chip, close to cocoa, summer sun and old olive - I chose the stampset circle circus as you can just random stamp and it always looks good! I have added brads and some ribbon to decorate the cards and left one plain. For each of the cards I have used the same stamp and colour for each of the cards - stamping on whisper white and inked the edges of the cards and the layering to add some definition. For the lid of the box I stamped on whisper white and matted this on close to cocoa and then summer sun.
I hope you like this little box - as it is just random stamping it only took me about an hour to make the cards and the box!
I hope you like my project and thanks for looking - Debbi x x x

DEMONSTRATOR'S STAMPIN' UP! MINI BLOG HOP...

Morning everyone, and are we having fun on our hop this morning?? There are some amazing projects that we are seeing from the new Stampin' Up! mini catalogue that is released on the 1st April (next week!) If you don't already have a copy of the catalogue please email me if you would like me to send you one!

Well you have just joined me from Linda's Blog and she always manages to make fantastic projects, I love the colours that she has chosen, her work always looks stunning - check out her blog on a Tuesday for a colour challenge as well!

For my first project I have chosen Vintage Vogue this a a set of 8 stamps and is £19.95. I have decided to make a scrapbook page. It is 6x6 and I have used basic black card. I have inked the egdes of the layout with craft ink, once I had done this I stamped the vine from the stamp set in the corners. I stamped three in each corner and then the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner, I also stamped this in craft ink. I then added a picture that I left a white border on and mounted this on black card stock and inked the edges in craft. In the top left I added a large flower detail also from the stamp set and used the smaller flower as the centre, sticking them down with dimensionals. In the bottom right of the picture i just used one of the smaller flowers and stuck this w ith a dimensional. For those of you that don't know my wedding day was very rushed - In the true sense of the word it was a shotgun wedding - I was five months pregnant! and I organised the whole day in 12 weeks! I believe this a) saved money b) saved a lot of stress and c) kept me slim! Although I was in and out of hospital beforehand and was not fitted for my dress until the Saturday before the big day! I love this picture as instictively John reached out to touched my belly as he kissed me, where our little man was hiding! This is only my third attempt at a proper scrapbook layout so I have kept it very simple and not added much colour - especially as it was a wedding shot. I hope you like it and I think that the Vintage Vogue set is perfect for something like this - it looks so classic!

The second project that I have made is a matchbox treat holder and a set of cards I have adapted a swap I received at regional training from Deborah O'd (you have already visited her this morning on your travels!) A really simple design and closed with a simple filigree brad to secure it. For this project I have used the Sweet Pea stamp set £9.95 for a set of 5 - not everybodys cup of tea but I love it. I have used this set more than any other since I unpacked my order! The colours that I have chosen for the cards and the holder are all from the brights family - needed colour after the other project LOL I have chosen yoyo yellow, gable green, orchid opulence and tempting turquoise! I have first of all stamped a basic black bird on the yellow card and mounted this on orchid and then on green card, for the top of the holder I did the same and stamped the flower from the set in yellow.

The four cards are 3x3 and I have done one in every colour. The turquoise one I have stamped three birds on whisper white in tempting turquoise ink and inked the edges. I have then mounted this on orchid card and used the wheel to decorate the card blank. The second card is made using the flowers from the set the middle stamped in yellow and cut out, this then added to the second layer stamped in ruby red and cut out, this then layered onto a punched circle 11/4' in chocolate chip - you cannot see it very well but I have wheeled the card blank in yellow also. The green card is using a totally new product to us in the UK - felt and yes it did ever so slightly remind me of the fuzzy stuff! This set is £6.50 for 52 pieces - bargain. So for this card I have wheeled the card blank and inked the edges I have added two brads in the bottom right hand corner and then punched a 11/4' circle in chocolate chip. I have added the leaf decoration to this and then matted the flower centre to this and stuck it to the left hand side of the card. I haven't added anything else as I didn't want to take away from the felt. The final card is the orchid one - with the wheel on the card blank and the edges of the card inked. I have added a green panel with the stamped flower on and the stamped three of the birds in green, orchid and turquoise at opposing angels onto whisper white and inked the edges of this panel in orchid. Phew longest post ever for me!!

Joanne - who again has made beautiful projects using the new products and I hope you like what you see... So thanks for stopping by and I hope you liked my projects - if you would like to purchase any of the new products email me debbitaylor76@googlemail.com. Of course any comments are appreciated and thanks again for looking enjoy the rest of your weekend and happy stamping! Quick Post!

This is a card that I have made for one of Joshua's friends - had a quick look and don't think that I posted it previously! I decided to use the Wild About You stamp set so on a Saturday morning I sat down wih Joshua to make Dylan's card... Joshua picked the colour (you can see he has mummy's tastes!) Hw picked the animals he wanted stamping and then he picked where he wanted them to go on the card! As you can see mummy didn't have to do very much at all to complete the card, just add the tape and we were done. A few brocade blue flowers to decorate the background. Animals stamped trimmed and edges inked. stuck to whisper white mat, that then added to a tempting turqoise mat. That finally added to a card blank and the edges again inked! Job done and Joshua ready to go to his party - I drew the line at making his present as Joshua wanted! and we bought pajamas instead!
I hope you like the card and thanks for looking! Debbi x x x

Set Two...

The second set that I chose for my free sets from my sale a bration for being a demonstrator and achieving sales and recruiting! was Bloomin' with Beauty. I have often looked at this set but never purchased it and after the last couple of days having a mess about with it I am wondering why! I love it. So for this card I have used the colour combination used in the IBC and have kept the design of the card similar to that shown - with the main image stamped and not coloured and the words from the set stamped over the image. I have stamped the image onto very vanilla card stock and inked the edges in both close to cocoa and then again in pumpkin pie. I have then mounted the image onto pumpkin pie card stock and added one of the turquoise buttons from the playground set to the bottom right of the mount. I have used a close to cocoa card blank and inked the edges to this up the left hand side of the card blank I have added a tempting turquoise panel that I have stamped the words on from the stamp set. In the top right of the card I have stamped the word bloom in close to cocoa.
I will show another card with this set that shows how the image looks coloured on card stock and on velum.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like the card - your comments are appreciated! Debbi x x x

Second Post - finished cards

Hi Again! Here's hoping you are having a lovely Sunday we have had a relaxing day so far and I have sorted out loads of craft stuff - I officially have way too much! and need to make some space for my ever growing Stampin' Up! collection (another upside to being a demonstrator!) So here are the finished cards!
I have mounted the images onto pink passion card blanks and then inked the edges of the card. I have then stamped the swirl on the inside of the card and decorated this with the same small flower. I think that you will agree simple yet effective.
Both these cards have taken me no more than 20 mins to make - simple stamping, trimming and colouring to create something that looks great. With a bit of ribbon to add some detail. For details on what I have used please see above post!
Thanks for looking and I hope you like the cards - more in the next couple of days with the other two stamp sets! Debbi x x x

SAB redemption...

One of the great things about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator are the awards that you can earn - as you will know the Sale a Bration promotion has just finished this has meant that from both sales and recruitment you could earn free stamps sets - During this promotion I have earned 3 yippee! As a crafter there is nothing better than earning free stamps! So the next couple of posts that I will do, will be using these free stamp sets - for the the first one I have chosen Baroque Motifs. I have created two panels using the swirl from the set stamped in opposing colours. I have then stamped the random flowers over the image. To the left hand side of the image I have added some of the Stampin' Up! ribbon and added a knot for detail. Later on today I will post the finished cards so you can see the versatility of the stamp and how great it looks in different colour combinations!
Thanks for looking and see you later today with the cards! Debbi x x x

Sheffield Training Swap

OK so here is the card that I made for the Sheffield Regional Training day last week. There were about 25 of us there and one of the greatest things about these days are the swaps that we make eachother - I will post piccies of some of the fantastic work I received later in the week. So the card that I made is again craft - sensing a theme anyone?? I have used the fresh cuts stampset - this looks so good stamped in any colour! I love it, I have inked the edges of the card
blank in craft ink using a dauber. I have inked the edges of the image and mounted this on craft card stock and again inked the edges but this time I have chosen basic black ink to add a little depth to the mount. I have added a basic black panel with whisper white ribbon across the middle with a knot detail to the right hand side. I have stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in the bottom right hand side of the card - and for this I have used a stamp a majig.
I hope you like the card and thanks for looking - your comments are appreciated! Debbi x x x

yeay - pictures!

So here is a card for you that I have made for a recent swap over on ILWS. The aim of the swap was to complete something neutral - you could use whichever stampset you wanted and the only stipulation that there could be no colour other than the neutrals!
Here is what I created - I have used a craft card blank and inked the edges of this using a dauber with craft ink. I have then stamped the image from fresh cuts onto a piece of craft card again inked the edges and decoupaged the leaf element in the bottom right hand side of the card. I have mounted this on basic black card. In the top right hand side of the card I have stamped the flower vine from the set also in craft and at the bottom of the card I have stamped the sentiment from the stamp set and to try and get this straight I have used the stamp a majig.
I have used some of the stampin' up! striped ribbon to decorate on the left hand side of the image mount.
STAMP SET fresh cut
INK craft, basic black
CARD STOCK craft, basic black
ACCESSORIES stamp a majig, dauber, dimensionals, black and white ribbon

Sorry been absent....

Ok so here is a quick post to apologise for the lack of crafting you have seen from me in recent weeks. There has been a lot going on a home and things have been really stressful. However that said hopefully things are on the up now and I can back back to some crafting and show you all some of the things that I have been up to in the last week.
We have had a horrid time at home with poorly children and lots of sick and that obviously doesn't help the creative juices flow. I have had Joshua with a really bad head cold and really bad headache, but he refuses to take any form of medicine and will just suffer through it. All the while moaning and carrying on! Then Aidan got a really bad ear infection and ended up at the doctors on antibiotics. We finally get that over with and he picks up a horrendous stomach bug which was not pleasant in the slightest I can tell you. This coupled with me starting a secondment at work in the Manchester Corporate Centre and having to take days off to be with the ill ones not the best!
That said I will post some pictures of what I have made this week later today!
